Crafted from alpine cow's milk from small farms in Carinthia (Kärnten), Austria. Kärntner Rahmkäse (Rahm=German for cream of the milk) is a red culture washed rind cheese. Naturally ripened for approx. 3 months it develops a fruity, grassy flavor. The texture is creamy and rich. Winner of the 2012 Käsekaiser of Austria Award. The cows graze at high elevations in the bountiful pastures surrounding the Hohe Tauern and Nockberge National Parks. Mainly grass and grass hay fed, a small amount of GMO free grain fed on the coldest days in winter. RBST and GMO free.
